Cross Area Service Programs (CASPs)
A Cross Area Service Program (CASP) is a program that has been designated by the Division to receive specially earmarked funding to provide comprehensive regional (or statewide) services across multiple Local Management Entities (LMEs). Services are directed through a designated provider entity and LME to serve the needs of an identified consumer population.
As specified in the Division allocation letter, services are to be targeted to eligible designated consumers and their families in an identified region (or regions), but available to all eligible consumers and their families statewide as capacity allows.
Examples of CASPs are the regional opioid treatment programs, perinatal and maternal substance abuse programs, adult and adolescent substance abuse regional residential and SAIOP/SACOT programs, and regional detoxification through a designated provider entity programs.
